Actionable Steps: Best Advice for New Business Owners
Love what you do — Your passion and your why will help keep you committed and resilient, especially during challenges.
Be adaptable — The more open and willing you can be to being flexible, changing, and innovative with things that come up, the more sustainable you and your business will be for the long-term.
Personal financial pressure — Especially when you are just starting your business, don't put all your personal or even business financial pressure on your business. Invest in your business like an investor. The best place you can be is to have another source of income, especially for personal bills and expenses, so you can make grounded decisions and actions.
Don't be afraid to try, test, pivot and fail — Failure is only feedback. Everything in business requires trying and testing (your product or service, marketing, pricing, new updates or changes, etc.). The reality is, some things will work and some won't. But through that process is where you learn what works best so you can keep growing and moving forward. This is also what will move you forward the fastest.
Invest — Always continue investing in your business, yourself as the business owner, your learning/education, your tools and equipment, etc. This is what will allow you to make changes, be adaptable and innovative, and grow your business for the long-term — as well as grow in your personal & professional development.
